Anyone up for a skins game? I'd like to play a round of 'the works' again sometime soon. If you're interested, post a note here and we'll figure out a time and place - though I'd love to host it here in Wetaskiwin of course.

The Works is a very fun skins game where in addition to the usual hole skins, there are 6 other categories to keep track of on EVERY hole.

- skins (25 cents per hole - total $4.50 for 18 holes)
- Closest to the Pin (CTP, or CLOT)
- First in Basket (FIB)
- Metal on deuce putt (MOD)
- birdies (if player makes birdie, they do not get credit for MOD as well)
- membership (retained as long as a player stays bogey-free)
- overall score

When playing this in the past, we've kept it quite simple - players pay $1 each for CTP, FIB, MOD, birdies, membership and overall score (total $6)

At the end of the round, the player with the most CTP's wins that pool (with 5 players it would be $5), the player with the most FIB's wins that $5, etc.

Of note, the payout balances quite fairly in that on a given hole, a player whose drive is CTP has to putt last and therefore gets the last chance at FIB. In other words, a player can't collect on every category on a given hole - or at least very very rarely! A player who doesn't have a great driving game but putts fairly well can do well in FIB and MOD to make up for not collecting many CTP's. Of course, it's possible to do well in several categories if your whole game is on fire.

This game could be played with up to 6 or 7 players I would think. $6 for the categories + 25 cents/hole skins would be a total entry of $10.50 per player. Up to the player to make it back by playing well in whatever category they're strong in.
