Each Autumn, disc golfers from around the world gather at their local courses for one purpose: to throw aces! No putting, no approaching... just runnin' at the chains.  EDGA will be hosting Edmonton's 2010 Ace Race at Rundle Park on September 26th at 10:30am.

The cost of entry is $30 which includes participation in the event, 2 discs, a hat, a mini and a bag tag (a package worth $70).

This year's prototype disc is is a fast, overstable midrange. It has good speed for a mid, longer glide than you'll expect, and a medium strong finish. When you turn it over it will always come back unless you really torque it. Will hold a line in a moderate to strong headwind.

With the River City Cup completed the next tournament is just around the corner.  The next stop for the Alberta Tour is in Wayne, Alberta for the Lost Egg Classic.  This event will be held on July 31st through August 1st.  For full details including pre-registration click here.

The 13th annual River City Cup was a great success once again!  A total of 55 players took to the course this past weekend to capture the coveted River City Cup.  Once again Mark Dakiv was successful in retaining this prestigious honor but the race was very close.

EDGA proudly celebrates 30 years of disc golf in Edmonton with the 13th Annual River City Cup.  This year's River City Cup will take place July 17th & 18th at the Rundle Park Disc Golf Course.  Be sure to circle your calendar because this year's event promises to be bigger & better than ever!

The 3rd event on the 2010 Alberta Disc Golf Tour, the 2010 Alberta Disc Golf Provincial Doubles Championship will be held, rain or shine, the first weekend in July at Peace Hills Park in Wetaskiwin.

New players or seasoned veterans are welcome to enter this tournament in any one of the following divisions:

• Pro Open
• Pro Master
• Pro Grandmaster
• Amateur Advanced
• Amateur Masters
• Amateur Recreational

Entry Fees:
Pro Divisions $120.00 per team.
Amateur Divisions (including Juniors) $40.00 per team.

100% payout in every pro division, prizes for the amateurs and trophies for all!!

EDGA is pleased to host the second event on the Alberta Disc Golf Tour; the third annual Night Owl!  This year's Night Owl takes place on June 12th & 13th with an optional evening round on the 11th featuring 18 holes of night golf using LED lit discs.

Due to unpredictable Edmonton weather the first Thursday Night League event has been cancelled and rescheduled for May 6th.  However memberships will still be available on Sunday during the Doubles League and bag tags will now be issued in a first come first served basis.  If you want a low tag you had best show up bright and early.

Sunday's event starts at 11:00am sharp.

The EDGA Executive is please to announce the details of 2010 Memberships. This year’s membership into the Edmonton Disc Golf Association will cost $30 and will include the following membership perks:

• Access to weekly organized league events at a reduced cost
• Bag Tag
• "Got Disc?" membership carbineer pen (for scorecard marking)
• Free access into EDGA's year end tournament (prizes & dinner)

Memberships will be available for purchase starting April 29th at the first Thursday League Event.  After the initial bag tag seeding has been completed we will make memberships available to be purchased online.

All membership fees will be used to promote the sport of disc golf in and around the Edmonton area as well as to replace our aging custom built disc golf baskets with new official PDGA sanctioned Innova Disc Catchers (you might have seen the few yellow ones we have already purchased).
